Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your journey.
Your first stop will be Goreme Esentepe, where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Cappadocia’s unique rock formations and fairy chimneys. Next, at Pasabag - Monks Valley, you’ll explore the iconic three-headed fairy chimneys, also known as Pasha’s Vineyard, and learn about the monks who once led a solitary life here. In the Zelve Open Air Museum, you’ll walk through an ancient, Y-shaped valley dotted with cave dwellings, churches, and tunnels, offering insight into the region’s historical way of life.
Continuing to Devrent Valley, you’ll discover an enchanting area known for its animal-shaped rock formations, including a well-known camel-shaped rock, creating a surreal, sculpture-like landscape. The tour then takes you to the charming town of Avanos, famous for its pottery-making tradition that dates back to 3000 BC. Here, you’ll visit a traditional pottery workshop, where artisans craft beautiful pieces using clay from the Red River.
You’ll then explore one of Cappadocia’s impressive underground cities, originally built as hiding places during invasions. Delve into its complex network of tunnels, rooms, and chambers, which include living areas, kitchens, and even wineries. In Cavusin Village, you’ll explore ancient cave houses carved into the cliffs and visit the Church of John the Baptist, one of the region’s oldest and most significant churches.
The trek continues through the scenic Red and Rose Valleys, renowned for their striking red and pink rock formations and hidden cave churches. Love Valley offers a unique landscape filled with tall, phallic-shaped rock formations, often referred to as "fairy tale chimneys," adding a romantic touch to your journey. You’ll also get a view of Uchisar Rock Castle from the outside, the highest point in Cappadocia, providing sweeping views of the region and Mount Erciyes. This massive rock formation features a labyrinth of rooms and tunnels within. A delicious traditional Turkish lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you’ll have time for shopping in local stores offering leather goods, handicrafts, and traditional handmade Turkish carpets, where you can find unique souvenirs and learn about the region’s craftsmanship. After an unforgettable day, you’ll be comfortably transferred back to your hotel.
